Even More Absurdity from Planned Parenthood

Some of you may remember my post about the supreme irony of Planned Parenthood's teen poster contest, i.e. that contest entry required parental consent. Here's a new one for ya. On the Planned Parenthood 2003 calendar of "Save Roe" events for Washington, DC, I found this offering: "From Elizabeth Cady Stanton to Nancy Pelosi: Celebrating Generations who Fight for Women's Freedom" (Jan. 29, 2003) sponsored by Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, DC.

Elizabeth Cady Stanton? Excuse me? I love Stanton---I even made a special trip to visit her Senaca Falls home in 2001. She was indeed a freedom fighter, both for women and for slaves. So what's the irony of Planned Parenthood celebrating Stanton? Elizabeth Cady Stanton was entirely opposed to abortion!

Yes, my friends, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, like all her suffragette companions, was decidedly PRO-LIFE. Stanton would never support their stupid "Save Roe" events! She and Susan B. Anthony soundly denounced abortion and totally banned all abortifacient advertisements from their newspaper The Revolution. Absurdity!

And speaking of absurdities, please don't miss my favorite Planned Parenthood product of all time: Planned Parenthood Chocolate Birth Control Pill Packs! This is no joke---this is a REAL Planned Parenthood product.
